Maximum Torque at 120Nm: Physics renegotiated

The heart of this update is the unlocking of maximum torque, which jumps from the classic 85Nm to a staggering 120Nm. This extra power is especially felt at low pedaling cadences, allowing you to restart on extreme gradients where you would previously have been forced to dismount. Motor support can now reach up to 600%, multiplying the force applied to the pedals by six and making the steepest climbs a simple balancing exercise.

It's not just about brute force. The new "eMTB+" delivery logic makes the motor response even more intuitive. The system reads the terrain and your input with surgical precision, ensuring the 120Nm is delivered to the ground without spinning the rear wheel, even on wet roots or loose rocks.

Extended Boost and Trick Check: e-MTB becomes a game

One of the most anticipated features is the now-adjustable Extended Boost. Via the eBike Flow app, you can decide how long the motor thrust should last after you stop pedaling, choosing from 10 intensity levels. It’s the perfect ally for clearing sequential steps without risking pedal strikes against rocks.

For those who love to have fun, "Trick Check" arrives: the system automatically recognizes jumps and manuals, measuring height, distance, and airtime. The data appears for 8 seconds on the display and is saved in the app to monitor your progress over time.

With this update, Smart System drive units can interface directly via Bluetooth with Garmin Edge devices (550, 850, 1050 series) and other compatible accessories. You can view motor data, battery status, and consumption maps directly on your favorite cycling computer or smartwatch.

Evolved Energy: 12A Ultra-Fast Charging

Alongside the software, Bosch introduces the new 12A SuperCharger. This technology allows you to halve waiting times: a PowerTube 800 battery can be recharged to 50% in about an hour. Perfect for quick lunch breaks during demanding alpine tours, where every minute of charging translates into hundreds of extra meters of elevation gain.

Furthermore, energy management has been optimized to minimize cell wear despite the increased torque, ensuring a longer battery life even with intensive use of the 120Nm.
