Over the limits. On the steepest and most rugged routes, where stress and adrenaline cloud your judgement, it's essential to stay composed. MAXIMA brakes were developed for this balancing act, with one goal: to push the limits. DOWN TO THE MINIMUM DETAILS. All Trickstuff master cylinders are equipped with four ball bearings: two in the main journal and two for the connecting rod. While these prevent radial play of the lever, a tiny POM plastic ball ensures no axial play. The total lack of play and the resulting constant low friction provide a predictable braking characteristic that allows precise control of the braking force. The brake caliper's lightweight, hollow stainless steel pistons contribute greatly to brake heat management. The hollow cylinder design minimizes the contact surface between the brake pads and pistons, while the stainless steel itself has low thermal conductivity, significantly reducing heat transfer into the brake caliper. In addition to stainless steel, air also has low thermal conductivity. The air cushion created in the hollow cylinder therefore contributes positively to heat management. CHECK EVERYTHING. A brake caliper with high rigidity allows for a more direct and precise transmission of braking force, resulting in a clear and firm attachment point. Furthermore, the return behavior of the caliper pistons has a decisive influence on the consistency of the attachment point. The calipers are designed with a fast and uniform piston return. This makes the performance unchanged even when the brake is released several times in rapid succession. The pump pistons are made of pressure-stable POM plastic, which has excellent wear resistance and sliding properties. POM has very little material abrasion, which means that the sliding properties remain unchanged over time. Available now!
