Damil Components is an Italian company specialized in the construction of hubs, rims and tubeless accessories. Damil was born in 2015 from the idea of ​​Repele Andrea, owner of Torneria Damil. Growing up with the bike, his favorite discipline is mountain biking, which he has practiced since the beginning. With the turning shop he immediately worked and collaborated as a subcontractor in the creation of different types of cycle components such as forks, bottom brackets and even hubs. At a certain point, tired of not being able to find high-performance wheels on the market, he decided to design his own hub. Why the hub? Because it is the central fulcrum of the bicycle system and is what connects the frame to the wheels. A fundamental part but mechanically not easy to manage. The project is built starting from a sliding system based on bearings and axle. The creation of a precise axle, closed by thread is the main key to the hub. Around this, the body was built with wide flanges to give rigidity to the wheel, and a very high quality Ergal 7075 aluminum. The engagement system with 4 springs and pawls with 60 engagement points exponentially increases the reactivity of the pedaling and the resistance to torsion given by the new sprocket packs with increasingly larger crowns. The weight is the result of this obsessive search for reliability, rigidity and smoothness. Everything has a meaning and a direction that is unique: Performance.
