The new Superlight V2 springs have been developed with exotic materials used mainly in motorsport applications.
This material has very high tensile strength and modulus which, together with very careful design and specific manufacturing processes, allow the new generation of Superlight springs weigh up to 30% less than previous Superlight and other "normal" steel springs (the percentage of weight reduction depends on the spring stiffness and excursion values).

The new features are:

The feature of a higher percentage of vanadium results in a very high possible dynamic stress.
Long service life (automotive standard of over 500,000 cycles)
Reduction weight compared to the same spring made from “normal” spring steel (up to 30% reduction, depending on spring characteristics).
EXT Superlight V2 springs are carefully calculated based on the minimum length for the required travel , which means that its spring will fully cover the stroke of the shock absorber, but will also have less weight. EXT springs have been developed for prolonged use, thanks to improved mechanical characteristics and material derived directly from motorsport. We offer a 25 lb. rate increase to fine-tune your bike.

EXT Superlight V2 springs do not require any preload (maximum preload of 2 mm), allowing you to get the best coil damping feel . Using springs with K greater than 600 requires dedicated spring hardware/adapter, ask your local EXT dealer for more information.
