The DUNE R gives up nothing compared to its more expensive sisters. A 170mm FOX 38 Float 3P Performance Grip fork keeps the front end under control, while the Fox Float X Performance EVOL shock tames things at the rear. The rear transmission is entrusted to the SRAM GX Eagle gearbox while the cranks are the e*thirteen E*Spec Plus, the ONOFF Pija telescopic seat post, SRAM DB8 brakes and e*thirteen Grappler Core wheels with 30 mm aluminum rims. DUNE is Mondraker's latest creation in the lightweight ebike category. It inherits some key aspects from NEAT such as lightness and agility and then takes a different path offering power and performance similar to full power bikes with greater travel such as the SUPERFOXY and the LEVEL. DUNE is the black sheep of the family, mean and nice at the same time, the super enduro of light ebikes. The DUNE is forged around a Stealth Air Carbon frame weighing 2650 grams, combined with the power and lightness of Bosch's latest creation, the Performance SX drive unit. The frame features the latest kinematic update of our Zero Suspension with 165mm of rear wheel travel and Forward Geometry specifically tuned for this lightweight, long-travel ebike. With a weight of less than 20 kg, the dream of every biker, undecided between a modern enduro bike and a full power ebike, comes true. Now it is clear what to choose. Following in the footsteps of the most recent models, such as the NEAT, the DUNE takes advantage of the brand new kinematics offered by the updated Zero Suspension system. This new design positions the shock lower in the frame and makes the rear triangle itself more compact, resulting in an increase in rigidity and a reduction in overall weight. The optimization of the kinematics guarantees greater initial sensitivity of the shock absorber and better shock absorption.
