- We define the intertrochanteric distance the measurement of the distance between the two large tuberosities of the femur, this distance is fundamental for the study of the pelvis and is detectable through the Smart Caliber by positioning the branches of the caliber.
- The measurement of the diameter of both thighs in their upper part, compared with the intertrochanteric distance, allows the identification of the most suitable saddle shape for each individual subject.
- The positioning of the special supports that are located at the base of the caliper on the sacral plane that is able to measure the inclination of the pelvis. This datum allows to discover which type of saddle can offer greater comfort.
