The new GRX wheel guarantees faster and more fun gravel adventures, with greater distances. Wider tires require wider rims to maintain lateral stability at lower inflation pressures. Shimano analyzed the complex relationship between tire size, rim width, inflation pressure and tire lateral stiffness to optimize the GRX rim width for 32-50c tires. Furthermore, we sought the best balance between weight, strength and rim profile, to offer an extraordinary gravel wheel.
