- Puncture Proof Ply, Puncture Proof Layer. Consisting of a compound of rubber cords and reinforced with CRCA (compound of rubber with long aramid fibers).
- Protective Rubber Ply, Protective rubber layer located under the tread. Indicates tire wear and the increased possibility of punctures when it becomes visible.
- SPC Silica Tread Compound, high performance compound for most road tubulars. The Shore 66A hardness of this compound (made of natural and synthetic rubbers) and the active silica give the tubulars excellent grip on wet asphalt as well as low rolling resistance.
