The Presta valve (also called French valve or racing bike valve) is suitable for high pressures and is mainly used for MTBs, racing and touring bikes. To inflate the wheel, you must unscrew the knurled nut located on the threaded pin. Since this valve, unlike the Schrader valve, is not kept closed by a spring, but by the pressure present in the wheel, to be inflated it does not have to be opened mechanically as it opens on its own at the slightest difference in pressure.
